Captain Brian Catriz, crew member Radford Catriz and angler Darrell DeCambra landed the largest fish at Hilo Trollers’ May tournament, a 152.8-pound ono aboard the Laurie Marie VI.
Captain Brian Catriz, crew member Radford Catriz and angler Darrell DeCambra landed the largest fish at Hilo Trollers’ May tournament, a 152.8-pound ono aboard the Laurie Marie VI.
All nine boats entered landed qualifying fish, including 25 ono.
Catriz and crew also lured a 142.5-pound ahi, vaulting them in front in the season standings, while captain Aric Okuda and crew members Keith Okazaki and Kevin Eblaca caught a the largest ono (33.2).
The largest mahimahi was a 28.9-pounder lured on to the Honey Girl by Captain Gil Kuali’i and angler Leia DeMello. The gift certificate donated by S. Tokunaga Store for the first qualifying flag fish also went to the Honey Girl. The gift certificate donated by J. Hara Store for the largest aku went to the Sherissa 5 and captain Jared Miyake and angler Randal Yoneda.
The next tournament, weather permitting, is Sunday, and registration ais due by 4 p.m. Friday at by S. Tokunaga Store, J. Hara Store or Boat House Hawaii.
